A rich, signature Cabernet from our first vintage. 100% estate grown fruit aged in 40% new 60% neutral French oak for 18 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
The velvety texture matches the deep garnet color of this elegant wine. Made from grapes grown in the shadow of the Geysers, the nose has aromas of warm minerals and wet leaf tobacco. The taste has notes of dark berries with evolving tannins and a balanced finish. This wine pairs well with thyme seasoned prime rib, brie-like cheeses (we like Cowgirl Creamery Mt. Tam triple cream), and hazelnut chocolate.
Production Notes
Made with Estate grapes and aged on premise in small French Oak barrels. This wine will peak with five to eight years of cellaring and will last many more.
