When Mark was designing the Estate winery and planning to have custom open top concrete tanks, he had this wine in mind. Immediately it comes to life with blackberry, rich walnut, cigar box tobacco, and finishes with a floral white jasmine note. This wine is very lively and smooth on the palate, ripe black cherry and dried plum fruits come out first. A pink peppercorn spice and granite minerality from the concrete fermentation come out on the mid palate. All these flavors dance on your tongue giving way to the long lingering finish with toffee and hints of coco that last for minutes after drinking. This wine is a must have. In the larger format will age very well for many years to come.
